Have you ever been interested in the history of Great Moravia? Did you know that one of the largest Great Moravian fortifications is located just across the border with Slovakia near the village of Mikulčice? Did you know that just outside the village of Kopčany there is an abandoned church from the Great Moravian period in the middle of a field? Thanks to the project, which we successfully implemented this spring, we had the opportunity to learn many interesting facts about our past.
At the beginning, a relatively detailed project plan was drawn up, specifying the exhibits, furniture equipment and necessary technology. The content part was created together with our contract expert, and then with experts from the Institute of Archaeology of the Academy of Sciences in Brno. Over time, we created an interactive map of Great Moravia, wrote down lesser-known facts about Great Moravia, filmed footage of Mikulčice and Kopčany using a drone, and made 3D models of historical artefacts. We collected information about the mentioned sites, which accompanied us in spoken word in the created 360° videos. We also learned how to read Glagolitic script, studied the production of stained glass and analysed the conversation between Rastislav and Svätopluk.
